More Rainbow Lorikeet facts....
The Rainbow Lorikeet is a medium sized Australasian parrot, found extensively along Australia’s northern and eastern coast, as well as surrounding north eastern island nations. These brightly coloured birds are very social, usually travelling in parties of a dozen or more, however much larger flocks congregate where there is plenty of food (of mostly pollen and nectar). Found in rainforests, open forests and woodlands, along watercourses, parklands and some well treed urban areas, Lorikeets are noisy, cheeky and very conspicuous!
